Overstock has rugs by Thom Filicia. They are all indoor/outdoor rugs and made of recycled plastic bottles. None of the rugs have comments. However, they’re so attractive I think they could be great indoors. The rugs vary in sizes 5′x8′, 6′x9′, 4′x6′ and 2′x8′.

You can find Thom Filicia’s rugs on Overstock here.

Full disclosure: I adore Horchow. I had to stop their email promotions, as I am a sucker.

After browsing at the surprising amount of yellow chairs, this one stands out.

The “Sunflower Zebra” chair from Horchow is on sale for $1,758.90. It was $2,199. If you purchase a piece of furniture with Horchow within the next two days, you receive free shipping.

During a recent trip to Homegoods I found a few colorful lamps. Of course, I stopped and looked them all over.  They were all $34.99 each and I had to share them with you.

These would be perfect for any little girl’s room or a beautiful pink room. I want to paint a room pink.

I want this. Mister, are you reading? Maybe I should start with pink lamps.

I considered these, but I need no more lamps. I quickly realized it was a pointless look over. Their color is quite pretty, particularly around the edges. I vote for piping around the top and bottom of the shade or painting the edges with fabric paint.

There was only one of each and they’d be a terrible couple of bedside  lamps. However, they’d be a great punch of color in a bathroom (if you are blessed with a large enough bath for furniture) or in a kitchen. I’d pick the yellow. Alas, I already have two lamps in my tiny galley kitchen. I prefer their shape over the pink and green lamps seen above.

How many lamps are too many? We are in desperate need of lighting, particularly in our den. There is no overhead lighting. The entire room is lit by three lamps and one of them does most of the work. I wish you all a wonderful Presidents’ Day and Valentine’s Day.

Be good, be safe, be back

They were all yellow

Some of you may know that I took a sewing course. I still have two more courses, and many hours of self-study, before I feel comfortable to take on a large-scale project. However, I’m becoming antsy. My goal has been to make curtains and I love these.

Yellow was my favorite color as a child and something about these make my heart soar. I find them so cheerful and wonderfully lovely. I’m assuming they’re silk. Can anyone else give a better description of their dreamy fabric origins? They may become my first project. Well, my first sewing project.
