Shove it in my face. (Still trying it out) I’m going to eat my words.

This weekend I went to Hendersonville to see my girl Jenn. She had to put her baby down for nite nite time and I decided to run to their Homegoods since it was going to take at least 30 minutes and you could walk to Homegoods from her house. I didn’t walk it, but I drove over there and got nothing. She still hadn’t called me to tell me that Baby Boy was down and out, so I looked around and saw a Kirklands. I walked towards it thinking “Maybe I’ll find something I could paint or slipcover.” I should say that there is a Kirklands pretty close to my house, but I’ve only been once and that was to return something. Beyond that, I’ve been in a Kirklands maybe 10 times. Typically I’m just curious – just like this weekend.

They still had a lot of this mess.

And they’re still pumping their potpourri smell. However, the first thing I saw in the store was this.

I liked it. It’d be pretty filled with potted flowers on a porch or as some type of toy holder in a child’s room.

Then, I saw this.

That’s right. I have his big brother. This is when I realized I may drop in more often. Like at least once a year.

There was an owl lamp. It’s hard to see in the photos below as I couldn’t find a solid background to photograph it with, but they would be super cute in a kid’s room. They were on sale for 50 something dollars.

There was this wire butterfly. It too would be cute in a kids room, espeically if you massed them together. They didn’t say they were outside friendly, but that could be attractive too. They were on clearance for $14.95.

Speaking of outside, there was this sign.

I want a tiered stand for our kitchen and found this.

I didn’t buy it, but it was $20 something and okay. Going back to my original thought walking in, I’d likely paint it brass.

Do I need to give Kirkland’s more of a try? It kinda reminds me of Old Navy. Have you found good stuff there? Any treasures?
