Christie Smythe’s home — designed with the help of her brother, Tommy Smythe — has an edgy black and white palette punctuated with pops of fuchsia.

 The Smythe genes are good as both Tommy (you’ll hear more about him later) and Christe are very talented. She is half of the beautiful clothing company named Smythe. I had admired Sarah Richardson’s jackets while watching Sarah’s House and read (somewhere) that they likely came from the Smythe collection. Though I cannot confirm it to be true, I agree that is highly likely to be. Her jackets are cut like these lovely pieces available in the Spring 2011 Collection.

I love jackets. However, she loves them more.

Website Wednesday: Lamps Plus

Today, I am featuring Lamps Plus. It is completely possible that you have heard of them or even used them. They have a large inventory of lighting. They had 4,114 results for chandeliers when I visited and I went through some of them. They have too many I was light sourced out.

Jonathan Adler Ventana Linen Shade Chandelier for $649.914

You could find a similar option, without the Jonathan Adler price, elsewhere. There are many Jonathan Adler options on their site. All are quite pretty.

White Six Arm Candelabra for $149.99

You can find simple, six arm lights but they are usually in black. Lamps Plus has this in black too.

Liata Collection Champagne Hanging Pendant Chandelier for $279.91.

Yes, please!  I’ve like this light since Sarah’s House (photo below). It comes in black too.

Once again, I like Walt Disney.
