Welcome to my new series “Wishful Wednesday.” I have not been consistent with War Paint Wednesday and needed an excuse to gush over my current want of Pottery Barn’s Bettina Floral. It is no longer available, but you can find pieces on eBay. I Suwannee featured it last week (found here) and resparked my wonderlust.

I want it for our bedroom. We need a new duvet but I did just make curtains. The Bettina fabric looks similar to the fabric  (tablecloths and some napkins) I purchased to make pelmet boxes, drapes and possibly a pillow for our side room. Here is that fabric:

No, it is not as pretty but my fabric above is a napkin. My post about how I use the napkins and tablecloths will be posted next week.

I still want the Bettina bedding.

Recently, I have been on the hunt for a throw or blanket. It’s probably because I desperately look forward to Fall.

I still like Pottery Barn’s Bobble-Knit Throw, as mentioned in a previous post. (found here)

West Elm’s Pom Pom Throw

West Elm’s Chunky Tassel Throw

ZGallerie’s Bird Throw -I’d like it better if it came in something other black and white. I’d prefer navy.

In last week’s post Floored me I shared floor lamps I found on Wal-Mart’s site. Here are some of those lamps compared to those available through other retailers.

ZGallerie’s Mariposa Floor Lamp for $269.00

Wal-Mart’s Kenroy Conventry for $171.00

ZGallerie’s Burke Floor Lamp for $259.00

Wal-Mart’s Adesso Trident Floor Lamp for $152.45

Wal-Mart carried many other similar ZGallerie styles, such as the Studio Tripod Light.

West Elm’s Adjustable Metal Floor Lamp for $149.00

Wal-Mart’s Grandrich Tripod Floor Lamp for $79.99

West Elm’s Linear Floor Lamp for $199.00

Wal-Mart’s Kenroy Home Deca Floor Lamp for $153.00

Sometimes other retailers are cheaper:

Pottery Barn’s Newbury Halo Task Light at $199.00

Wal-Mart’s Laura Ashley Linton Lighting for $322.20

This weekend I received the newest Pottery Barn catalog. You would think that I have purchased things from them, as I recently wrote about my lust of their velvet drapes. However, I cannot think of one thing I have purchased from Pottery Barn. I think that may change soon.

Bobble-Knit Throw

The care description says you have to put it inside a mesh bag to wash and lay flat to dry. I don’t believe I’ll take good enough care of it.

Abigail Silver-Plated Frames

The frames range in price of $19 to $39 and I dig them.

Frame Riser

The purpse of these is for overlapping frames. I have a some Audubon sketches I’d consider overlapping.

Mother may I?

My latest obsession, what I check at least once a day, is Pottery Barn’s velvet drapes. They are currently on sale, as is shipping. They are not carried in stores. So, I cannot rub myself against check them out. However, my mother has ordered samples of them and I look forward to seeing them. Hopefully, she will share. I’m sure she will. She’s a good egg. My favorite colors are wheat and stone.

P.S. These drapes are shown in double width panels. Therefore, they are extra lust worthy.

The Glacier Blue is striking, but maybe too bold?

I’m sure many of you, particularly the boys, would agree that these are better than the floral fabric that has littered the blog as I’ve searched for our master bedroom drapes. What is your favorite color?

The yellow chair from yesterday’s post (found here) encouraged me to keep looking for more yellow beauties. I found two that

Brooks Upholstered Chair from Pottery Barn
This chair is on sale and $629.00.

angelo: HOME Davis Armless Chair

This chair is found on Overstock and is $194.99. Thankfully, this does not include Angelo.

The Pottery Barn chair is a softer, prettier shade of yellow. It’s not the dark, golden color from Overstock. The print on the Overstock chair is more poppy than the other. However, the Overstock chair is over $400.00 cheaper.

If you like comparing products then you will enjoy Copy Cat Chic. Reichel B. with Copy Cat Chic compares great products.
