Dear Party People and Ladyfriends (also known as “lovelies”) -

I have big news. I upholstered our folding screen. It’s not put back together, it’s currently four panels leaning against the wall. However, I cannot help myself. I must share some photos.

The photo doesn’t do it justice.

The fabric can be found here but I purchased mine from Calico Corners. It was $28 a yard, just a few dollars more. I went to Calico Corners, asked for a sample and lusted over it for a week. When I purchased it I found out that the fabric is named Wonderland Pearl. Of course, I googled it and found that Aubrey + Lindsay’s Blog featured it here. That is where I found the online resource for the fabric, after I had purchased mine.

Now, back to the beauty that is mine.

Here are the first two upholstered screens beside the original screens.

After I was done with all four, I sat on the couch and stared at them while smiling like a goof.

Here are my fabric samples, my inspiration.

You may recognize the green fabric from this. I’ll do a breakdown of the pieces when I’m able to source them appropriate and am able to find their old price tags.

I’m so excited I almost asked The Mister to have it put back together for me when I get back in town. Then, I realized he’d need my help. Future post showing us putting the screens together will be up next week.

Your happy folding screen owner,
RA
