In comparison to other lamps in the marketplace I understand that the first option is not considered expensive.

$150.00 here

It’s dimensions are 16″W x 16″D x 33.75″H with a three-way switch.

However, who doesn’t want to save money? So, here is the look for less.

$69.00 here

It’s dimensions are 27″ H and 13.5″ D with a three-way light.

The first option does have a more stylized body and finial while the guard shape of the second option is a classic style. To “up” the finial style you could choose one of these.

Of course, this suggestion could easily double the price of Option Two. However, it’d still be cheaper that Option One. I’ve wanted one of the Rock n’ Rolla options for about two years. However, this want has been renewed after seeing Hillary’s beaded options in House Beautiful this month. However, you need to buy one to make me feel better as I’d really like to cave and buy a set for my lamps.

My Wishful Wednesday: Restoration Hardware Lighting post is one of my popular entries. Daily, it’s listed under my Top 5 posts. In it I highlight the Chelsea and Alexandria chandelier from Restoration Hardware and Crate and Barrel’s Vivian Chandelier. I purchased the Alexandria for our dining room and recently realized that I never posted a photo of it in our home.

This is it over our dining table.

Then, I judged myself for the way the dining room looks. You can see the messy table covered with Christmas tree decorations in the right of the photo. My sewing machine is sitting in the bottom left hand corner. The two bird prints look odd at the top of the wall by themselves. You can see the edges of the oriental folding screen on either side. I decided to move them together and this is what that looked like.

I’m not sure about much of the dining room except for the Alexandria chandelier and my chairs from Pier 1. We painted most of our house the green color. I’m ready to change it in our dining and attached living room to a neutral. The folding screen was placed in the dining room after being removed from our bedroom. Our dining table is from West Elm. It is a bit too large for the area, a round table would fit better in our space. So, we’re open to selling the table. Anyone interested?

Today, I am featuring Lamps Plus. It is completely possible that you have heard of them or even used them. They have a large inventory of lighting. They had 4,114 results for chandeliers when I visited and I went through some of them. They have too many I was light sourced out.

Casual Luxury Collection 23″ Wide Pendant Chandelier for $299.00

A traditional take on a pendant.

Jonathan Adler Ventana Linen Shade Chandelier for $649.914

You could find a similar option, without the Jonathan Adler price, elsewhere. There are many Jonathan Adler options on their site. All are quite pretty.

White Six Arm Candelabra for $149.99

You can find simple, six arm lights but they are usually in black. Lamps Plus has this in black too.

Liata Collection Champagne Hanging Pendant Chandelier for $279.91.

Yes, please!  I’ve like this light since Sarah’s House (photo below). It comes in black too.

Walt Disney Kingswell Collection 38.5″ Chandelier for $3,330.91

Once again, I like Walt Disney.

Druid Hills Collection 27″ Wide Chandelier for $559.99

Cancan Collection Eight Light Chandelier for $699.91

Kane Collection Nine Light Chandelier for $697.91

This is another light used by Sarah Richarson. I’m additcted to Sarah’s House, a complete fool for it.

George Kovacs 8-light Brushed Nickle 22″ Wide for $234.99

In general, I am not a large Restoration Hardware fan. However, I heard they are in the midst of a lighting sale and I have had my eye on their Alexandria Chandelier for a while. Therefore, I quickly checked their site and it is on sale – quite on sale if my memory serves me correctly. Then, I saw the Chelsea Column Chandelier and its crystal columns have caused my eye to wonder from Alexandria. It reminds me of Crate and Barrel’s Vivian Chandelier which I have admired too.

Chelsea Column Chandelier for $425.00

Alexandria Chandelier for $450.00

Vivian Chandelier for $469.00

Which do you like best?

**Update**

I bought the Alexandria and am waiting on The Mister to hang it.

She’s up and I blogged about here.

I have had a pair of cream lamps from TJMaxx for some time – maybe a year. Recently, I have been seeing them, in varying colors, make their way around the blogosphere.

Knight Moves

The lampshades that came with the lamps were okay but I have been looking for replacements. Here are the original shades wiht lights on and off:

Here are the new shades I purchased for $16.99 (plus tax) at Tuesday Morning.
